Vernon, Sanders; b: Oct 17, 1918 in Greene County, east of Republic, MO; d: Nov 5, 2007 at Cox South Hospital, at the age of 89 years and 19 days. (the son of Sam and Mae (Perkins) Sanders). He graduated from Republic High School in 1937. Vernon served in World War II, at discharge, his rank was 1st Sgt. of the 419th Port Co. m: Apr 17, 1946 to Angeline Borud of Hunter, North Dakota.
Angline “Angie” Borud; b: Jul 28, 1921 in Park Rapids, Minnesota; d: Oct 5, 2010 in Sonshine Manor, Republic, Missouri; (the daughter of Evan and Julia [Knutson] Borud) During WWII, Angie worked at the Boeing Plant in Seattle, Washington, helping in the war effort.
